Old H Instructionals
Define yourself an Old Heatonian Icon
- Find an image you wish to use. Size doesn’t matter as the software will resize it, but try and keep it roughly square so it doesn’t look too weird when its resized.
- Browse to www.gravatar.com
- Set up an account using the email address you use when registering to post comments on the Old Heatonian. (You will be asked to confirm by checking your email and following the instructions)
- Once you have an account set up, follow the instructions and upload your image, crop it if required, save it and choose it.
- If you have done everything correctly, your comments should now be displayed with your chosen icon.
Happy Days!

if anyone struggles with this, I will do most of it for you. This will cost you a pint of lovely lovely Stella (for me of course!)

Its worked now. There must be some sort of delay between registering your image and it actually appearing.

It may have somthing to doo with the resizing of the gifs themselves as this avatar is cropped from the original giffers

An animated .gif is a moving image that you can use as your avatar, currently this site only supports .jpeg, .bmp etc. For example, all user images are stationary… including yours.
Sorry Jobcentreplus but can’t really explain it any simpler.
